BRANDING

Orox Leather is a Portland Oregon leather retailer that has seen great success with their brick and mortar store, but needed a way to increase revenue beyond local sales.

Orox hadn’t had much success with their previous ecommerce platform. Digging through the analytics it seemed to point to a frustrating shopping expeirence without features like search, filters, or support via chat. I aimed to fix these, and other user experience issues.

Changing the overall brand perception.

Although Orox is featured in every Portland travel list, the brand perception is that they are a small family business. I sought to remedy that via design.

Their story is about how one family's journey from humble beginnings in Oaxaca Mexico began with making sandals and baseball equipment. Now four generations later the family is thriving in Portland OR.

The Orox Story.

Shoppers today want to support brands that they identify with and support causes they find worthy. Orox’s inception is one of hope and The American Dream.

LEADING TO A PURCHASE

As with any high-end product, sharing the manufacturing details, the craftsmanship, and the lifestyle associated with the product, all push a customer to purchase.

Removing all distractions.

When you look at or hold an Orox product, you feel the craftsmanship and durability of the hand-made product. By focusing on elegant photography, light typography, and honest pricing, the Orox shopping experience is just like the physical store – free from distraction.

HIGHLIGHTING CRAFTSMANSHIP

When you look at and hold an Orox product, you feel the craftsmanship of a product.

Creating a webstore that can be managed and edited by the client allows business owners to make changes or updates as neccessary. Building on top of the Shopfiy CMS was a no-brainer giving Orox the tools they need to update their store as frequently as they wished.
